Hallau is a municipality in the Swiss canton of Schaffhausen. The wine-growing community is located in Klettgau north of the Rhine on the border between Germany and Switzerland. Hallau in the Schaffhausen Blauburgunderland has the largest contiguous vineyard area in German-speaking Switzerland and is one of the most famous wine-growing regions in Switzerland.
